TECH | Tricks & Treats from #HalloweenHangout on Google+

After attending a great G+ Hangout this morning I learned some really great tricks for making Halloween a little more fun, delicious and safe.

  1. SAFETY: LED trick or treat bags are bright enough to spot and easy to see when it's dark, making it more convenient to find your kids in a crowd.
  2. DECOR: Personalized pumpkins are a great way to avoid rot if you live in an area (like the coast) that often speeds the disintegration of produce.
  3. TREATS: Personalize candy bars with these adorable labels for an added effect during Halloween. They turn regular size candy bars into something special. Rewarding friends and neighbors with things like Most Creative Costume or Spookiest decor make trick or treating more fun for parents looking to do something more.

MORE FUN THINGS TO DO:

Chipotle is offering $3 burritos, bowls, tacos and salad if you show up in costume after 4pm. I love the natural ingredients and I know they will fill my daughter up before candy stuff!

Looking for a safer experience away from traffic and dark doorsteps. Check out your area for local events at malls and churches that offer cool events for kids in the safety of their establishment.

Many dentists will offer buy backs for candy to help avoid the excess sugar intake during this cavity inducing holiday. If your kids are looking to make a few bucks or are uninterested in sweets, this is a great option. Buybacks often support care packages to troops.
